About the project

What is the project about?

This is an investigation into the modernising of the employment application processes for young people and those with SEND and other needs.

Aims and desirable outcomes

The investigation will inform and modernise the employment process regarding inclusion by investigating and offering the opportunity to both sides to make suggestions regarding the journey of young people from education and training into employment while also meeting the needs and requirements of the employer.

It will aid an opportunity for young people and industry to better understand the needs and requirements of each other as well as inform the role of schools, colleges and further education providers in the role they play in linking the two together and better preparing young people for a modern world.

Ultimately, I want to measure, enlighten and modernise the application processes for industry pre and post interview.

Scott Fontoura on how the project is being measured

In order to measure progress within industry my starting point will be that of traditional CV, cover letter and interview and what has been done to move on from this and what can be done further modernise the process.

From a college perspective I will start from what was a job coach perspective/PD perspective and measure from there the changes implemented to improve the processes from education to employment. Eg. Grofar & WEX
